Constructing an Argument

At the coffeehouse, he’s working

on his notebook, thinking hard,

typing fast; stopping, furrowing

his brow as he counts the cards

to play in support of his case,

concentration lining his face;

stuck for a moment, he looks around,

then returns to work when idea’s found.
